November 30th, 2010Habo Apparel X KikFlip X Lupe Fiasco…Whattt?! AND Johnny Cupcakes?!
October 10th, 2010Habo Apparel has been having a very successful couple of weeks. We’ve been from Cleveland to Dayton and to Chicago. Earlier this summer, Habo Apparel was approached by KikFlip Skateshop to design a skateboard for the legend himself, Lupe Fiasco!!! The hip-hop seminar that took place in Dayton, OH was amazing. Lupe’s words can do nothing less than inspire. There was also some great local talent at the event.
Lupe Fiasco Has Habo Apparel…Do you?
I forgot to mention…Dave Chappelle was there too! So random but still awesome!
This was truly an amazing experience and absolutely the BEST birthday weekend a girl could ask for. So after leaving Ohio, I headed back to school in Chicago to find that Mr. Johnny Cupcakes, T-shirt extraordinaire, was giving a lecture on campus. I skipped class to go, but it was so worth it!
This is it!
August 16th, 2010Habo Apparel production starts NOW!!! This means that the store will be open soon! Tell EVERYONE that you know about it. Join us here, on facebook, and on twitter. We’re taking over…Are you ready?

July 6th, 2010K!DULT Youth Leadership Conference: New York, NY – June 26

Kidult is a news and entertainment website for teens created by Pharrell Williams. Inspired by his young fans, he believed they deserved a website that respected their intelligence and covered their diverse interests‚Äîfrom science to fashion. It’s the site Pharrell wishes he had when he was a teenager. Most of the other kids didn’t get him and it was always more fun to have conversations with adults. With kidult.com, Pharrell introduces a place where the stories reflect your life and interests, but don’t talk down to you. After all, Pharrell knows you’re ready to rule the world. Think of kidult.com as your GPS.
Habo Apparel’s experience at the conference was amazing to say the least.¬† Meeting several young go-getting kids¬†like ourselves, we seemed to¬†fit right in. The beauty of the conference was in the large number of participants, phenomenal speakers, and the simplicity of the message. One of my favorite moments of the day was when key-note speaker, Karen Nethersole, told us her story about what she wanted to be when she grew up. She told us to, “Dream BIG, audacious, ridiculous dreams!”
Another amazing moment was when we were in the presence of Mr. Hezekiah Griggs III. Not only do his accomplishments inspire but so do his words.¬† He was apart of the first panel discussion that took place, “How to Make Your Ideas into Money Makers”.
You can check out more about him at:

The “Dressing for Success” portion of the conference was presented to us by Mr. Datwon Thomas and Ms. Simone Kapsalides.¬† Looking one’s best is always important because there is no impression like the first.
Pharrell and Diggy answered questions submitted online before the conference and directly from the audience.
“There is no such thing as nothing.” – Pharrell Williams
We networked with several kids at the conference, and made some great friends along the way!
Shout out to Canada and NYC!!! We LOVE you guys: Amanda, Lara, Alexia, and Sierra!
This guy right here is AMAZING to say the least. 19-year-old PR company owner, Harrison Kratz, was one of our mentor’s for the day.
Ahhh, there is nothing like a private music showcase with an incredible artist to end the day.
Again, the conference was amazing and definitely life changing! As a member of the first generation K!DULT Army, I challenge you to out and DREAM! “Dream BIG, audacious, ridiculous dreams!” Create change. We are the future and we have the power.
Thanks for reading! We love you and appreciate the support!
God Bless.
